In Growing Orbits (2026), Biraaj Dodiya presents a suite of 5 works that combines photographic images with details from drawings and paintings. Composed and manipulated digitally, these works trace back to the beginnings of Dodiya’s interest in abstraction—constructing a cryptic geography, connecting body and landscape, imagined and urban. The photographs in this particular series—from the street or from the studio, imagine scenes from a nocturnal life through forms, caverns and surfaces emerging from the dark.
