The original late Meiji illustrated flyer bore new year greetings from Asada Candy and included an ‘abbreviated calendar’. Poster 02 contains text listing out the ‘Three Feminine Obediences’ expounded by East Asian Confucianism - her father at home, before getting married, her husband after getting married and her sons in widowhood after her husband’s death.
