Dates: 8, 9, 10 December | 5 - 8 pm
Duration: 3 Days
Experimenter – Ballygunge Place
Course fee: INR 2000
Number of participants: 12In this module, spread over three days, Moushumi Bhowmik, will use her work as a research-led practitioner and of others, to enable dialogue on the many ways that we can listen to one another and also to our own selves; how we can listen to a place and to time, to sound and to silence. This module aims to focus on the act of critical listening, that is at the core to Bhowmik’s work. Listening is social and political, it is empathetic and provocative, it is something we learn to do, not necessarily a natural ability but a daily practice. The module will evolve through collective engagement with sound within the 'assemblies of listeners'.
