Experimenter in collaboration with Artsforward present The Collective Form, a conversation that brings together Kolkata based collectives working across different disciplines. 

The dialogue will convene collectives from the visual arts, dance, theatre, and design to reflect on collaborative structures that shape their practices. Through an open format roundtable conversation, participants will consider what it takes to build, sustain, and work within a collective—addressing questions of shared authorship, organisation, community, and the practical realities of collective cultural production.

The conversation will include members of  Chander Haat, Caper Maniac Crew, Continew, Panjeri Artists’ Union, Somporko, and Swabhav Meyeder Dol whose practices are grounded in collaborative approaches to art-making and social engagement. By bringing together voices from varied contexts in the city, it aims to explore how collective models continue to evolve in response to artistic, social, and institutional conditions.

This learning module will be held as a closing program for the solo Trace by Chanakya School on view at the gallery, creating a space for reflection and dialogue that extends from the exhibition’s engagement with design histories, collaboration, learning, and shared creative practice.
