This module is hosted as a pre-registered session for participants on a first-come first-served basis
RegisterIn this two-day module, participants will learn to build a personal laboratory for sound studies guided by Yashas Shetty. At the end of the workshop, participants would have built their own rudimentary sound laboratory using commonly found materials, free and open source tools. They will build their own tools to listen, explore and perceive the world. No prior knowledge of sound or electronics is necessary.
Yashas Shetty is an artist, educator and composer living in Bangalore, India. His works often feature humorous and absurd bricolages and reinterpretations of high-tech artifacts. Shetty's works range from genetically modified organisms to disappearing pop songs to large-scale archives.
