The diamond shape is a portal, a fragment of a landscape. A mirror shard. Turquoise in colour alluding to the water, as parts of these mountains were part of the ocean crust. The black diamond in the front of the painting is an amulet, a protective symbol placed as a gesture over the landscape. Referencing the harness on a horse in a drawing by sheikh Amir of karraya, its black and white quality and straps bringing in aspects of protection and control. A science fiction patch.
