Case Study of Julien Dupont: Confession of a familicide disguised as salvation
Brinni once found a letter online whose author was allegedly Julien Dupont confessing to the quiet erasure of his own family. Between April 3 and 6, 2011, five lives vanished: a mother and her children. In the letter, written to a pastor, Dupont details a descent into delusion, speaking of sedatives, gunfire, shallow graves, and a fragile belief that he had sent them to “heaven.”
Brinni noted the case in her diary, perhaps hoping to return to it. Twelve years later, I visited the place, its quiet corners still holding traces of what once happened there.
